CUET 2025 Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

The CUET examination is a fully Computer-Based Test, comprising three sections. Each question in the test carries a weightage of 5 marks, and there is a negative marking of -1 for every incorrect answer.

  • Section IA and IB, candidates are required to attempt 40 out of 50 questions. The total marks for Section I are 200, and the time duration for this section is 45 minutes.
  • Section II consists of 40 questions, and candidates need to attempt 40 out of 50. Each domain within this section is worth 200 marks, with a time duration of 45 minutes allocated for each domain. However, in subjects such as Accountancy, Economics, Physics, Computer Science/Informatics Practices, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, the test duration is extended to 60 minutes.
  • In Section III, candidates are expected to attempt 50 out of 60 questions, and the total marks for this section are 250. The time duration for Section III is 60 minutes.

  • Eligibility: There will be no age limit for the candidates to apply for the test. However, the students must have qualified their 10+2 from a recognised Board with a minimum of 45% marks (5% relaxation for category students) or must be appearing in 2025.
