Bangladesh's Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, has inaugurated the largest project built with Chinese aid, the Padma Bridge Rail Link, under the Belt and Road Initiative. This 82-km project is set to significantly transform the country's economy and connectivity. She inaugurated the Dhaka-Bhanga section of the rail route which will connect Dhaka and Jashore via the Padma Bridge. This project is the largest in Bangladesh financed by the Exim Bank of China as a part of Chinese preferential loans.
