CM Solar Mission launched in power deficit Meghalaya

The Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma has inaugurated the Chief Minister’s Solar Mission, a venture to boost green progress and mitigate power shortages. The state will invest Rs 500 crore over the next five years in this mission for sustainable development. The endeavor will be supported by net metering, enabling hybrid solar units to transmit energy to local and national grids. The scheme encourages a variety of beneficiaries through subsidies. There are also plans for LED assembling and battery production units.
