Hey everyone,

I am Saakhi Dewan and am pursuing a BA (HONS) in PSYCHOLOGY from LADY SHRI RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI. I took the CUET exam in 2023 and I am a former student of Edupreprator.

Hope you're all doing great! So, picture this – exams, stress, late-night study sessions – sounds familiar, right? I've been through the jungle of board exams and entrance exams, and I’ve with some strategies and some advice for you all.

First off, let me say, I get it. The pressure, the stress – it's real. But guess what? If I can do it, then you all can too.

Alright, let's start with the whole CBSE vs. CUET scenario. You've got your CBSE board exams where building concepts is the name of the game. Yep, understanding those basics is crucial. But then, CUET comes along with a twist. You need to not only grasp the concepts but also memorize stuff very very well.

As a student who has just been through the trail of all these exams, I have to tell you that neither CUET nor BOARD exams are any less important than the other. The study path that you have to follow for both of them goes hand in hand. They do not exist in isolation and so their preparation cannot either.

CUET is important for obvious reasons, you have to clear it to get into your dream college, and dream course. But CBSE too should not be left behind because that is something that will stay with you for the rest of your life. It might seem like CUET is the only thing leading you to your college that might naturally lead you to neglect board exams, but this is not the case. If you do believe that, then you are setting yourself up for failure.

Coming to STRATEGY, I think reading, learning, and then jotting down all the important points worked for me. It might be for some of you but some do learn by learning and speaking it out loud which again is very helpful. So the first thing that you have to do is understand your learning pattern and then form a strategy for yourself.

Also, I started reading newspapers from the year and it did help in the General Test Other than that, in the General Test, Mathematics is a very important part so for those who have or do not have math, start practicing it from an early on. Maths is not something that can be practiced in just one month. Other than that work on your language, because that is included in whatever course you opt for. Talking about domains, I cannot stress this enough, stick to the NCERTs. Every word of NCERT is important. Every single word can be formed into question.

Okay now let's come to the most important question, how to manage time?

Now, here's the secret -start early, and stay consistent. I know, easier said than done, right? But seriously, this is the golden rule. And it is early now. You have stepped into 12th and you have to start now. Start sooner rather than later. Consistency doesn't mean you have to lock yourself in a room for six hours every single day. No, some days, it could be just an hour of quality study time. The key is to keep that momentum going every day. It's like watering a plant – a little bit every day goes a long way.

Make a timetable for yourself that will help you keep track of your short-term goals and targets. Owe it to yourself to get those targets done. And one thing that did work for me was to create a vision board. It might not work for everybody but you can always give it a try. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy. It can just be a small sticky note with the name of your dream college or dream job that will motivate you to keep going.

Do not leave the preparation for the last minute, because that will not fetch you success.

I'm not saying it's gonna be a walk in the park. There will be tough days, moments of self-doubt, and times when giving up might feel tempting. But remember, each of those moments is a stepping stone towards your goal. Embrace the challenge, because on the other side of that struggle is your victory dance.

I enrolled in the EDUPREPARATOR foundation courses guided by Nikhil Sir, Sanya Ma’am, and their dedicated team. This educational journey has been instrumental in helping me realize my dream of securing admission to my desired college and course.

As I approach the upcoming exams, whether it be CBSE, CUET, or any other academic challenge, I am filled with confidence instilled by the support system at EDUPREPARATOR. The phrase "rock those exams" resonates as more than just motivation; it encapsulates the empowerment and self-assurance cultivated through rigorous preparation.
