Dawki land port in Meghalaya inaugurated by Union Minister Nityanand Rai

The inauguration of the Dawki land port in West Jaintia Hills district, Meghalaya was conducted by Union Minister Nityanand Rai, with an aim to boost trade and commerce between India and Bangladesh. Meghalaya’s Deputy Chief Minister, Sniawbhalang Dhar, also participated in the event. The Dawki land port is intended to be a significant trade, transport, and tourism nexus between the two nations, with convenient access for goods, people, and vehicles. The port offers various facilities like a godown, canteen, and cargo for tourists, and an electric substation.
