Grand Cross Award

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been honoured with the Grand Cross of the Order of Honour by the Greek President, Katerina N. Sakellaropoulou. This is the highest civilian recognition that Greece can give to any foreign head of government. The award recognizes PM Modi’s exceptional contributions to promoting bilateral ties between India and Greece across various sectors. This milestone makes him the first Indian prime minister to receive this distinction and the first foreign leader to be recognized in this manner since 2017.
