IAF Participated in Exercise Shinyuu Maitri with Japan Air Self Defense Force

The Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Japan Air Self-Defence Force (JASDF) participated in Exercise Shinyuu Maitri, which operated parallel to the Indo-Japan Joint Army Exercise, Dharma Guardian. The latter was conducted from 13 February to 02 March 2023 at Komatsu, Japan. The components of Exercise Shinyuu Maitri included transport discussions, tactical maneuvering, and flying drills. The exercise primarily aimed to promote understanding and interoperability between IAF and JASDF, as well as offer a platform for experts to exchange operational philosophies and practices. Contributions of IAF to this exercise also parallel to ongoing exercises, Desert Flag VIII in UAE and Cobra Warrior in the UK.
