India wins 34th International Biology Olympiad

The 34th International Biology Olympiad, hosted in Al Ain, UAE in July, witnessed India's groundbreaking win. Presenting an all-gold performance, India topped the medal count for the first time. The participants underwent a six-part examination, involving theoretical and practical exams. The Indian team won a total of four gold medals, adding a feather to the cap of India’s past successes in multiple Olympiads. Besides India, Singapore also secured equal gold medals, but India took the lead based on overall performance. This international event had representation from 293 students across 76 countries, underscoring the global importance of the Olympiad.
