J&K: Operation Trinetra II to neutralise hiding terrorists continue

Operation Trinetra II, a joint operation by the army and the police, has been underway in Jammu-Kashmir's Sindarah and Maidana of Surankote tehsil since 17th July. The objective is to neutralise terrorists hiding in Jammu-Kashmir's border district of Poonch. Intermittent firing was reported with security forces and hiding terrorists engaging in gunfights. This operation also resulted in the death of four terrorists and thwarted a significant infiltration bid in the Krishna Ghati Sector on the night of 16th and 17th July. To track terrorists, security forces have erected stringent checks and random searches on vehicles; blocking escape routes as Operation Trinetra II continues.
