Mera Bill Mera Adhikar’ GST Reward Scheme To Launch Soon

The Indian government is preparing to introduce the 'Mera Bill Mera Adhikar' invoice incentive scheme, to stimulate the practice of requesting bills during purchases, thereby promoting fiscal accountability and transparency. Initiated by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), the scheme also incentivizes consumers with cash prizes ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹1 crore. Open to all invoices issued by GST-registered suppliers, the scheme will first benefit consumers from Assam, Gujarat, Haryana, Puducherry, Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. The government has designed a 'Mera Bill Mera Adhikar' mobile app to aid participation. The scheme aims to bolster GST procedures, increase revenue collection, and encourage responsible consumer behavior.
