NEP SAARTHI and NEP 2020: A Transformative Vision for India’s Education System

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has initiated the 'NEP SAARTHI - Student Ambassador for Academic Reforms in Transforming Higher Education in India' program. The program aims to incorporate students in implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The UGC will select 300 students who will get a certificate, be acknowledged on UGC's official social media platforms and receive invitations to relevant online events. NEP 2020 aims to revolutionize India's education system by promoting holistic and multidisciplinary education, multilingual education based on a 5+3+3+4 structure, digital learning, teacher empowerment and professional development, and research and innovation. The implementation of NEP 2020, despite posing certain challenges, plans to transform India's educational system and nurture skilled individuals who can contribute meaningfully to society.
