New Swarnima Scheme For Women

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment introduced the Swarnima Scheme, a term loan initiative for women entrepreneurs from backward classes. Implemented by the National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC) and conducted by State Channelising Agencies (SCAs), the initiative aims to empower women with social and financial security. The scheme provides loans of up to ₹2,00,000/- at 5% interest per annum. Beneficiaries do not need a personal investment for projects costing up to ₹2,00,000/-. To qualify, an applicant must be a female entrepreneur aged 18 to 55 years, and the total annual family income should not exceed ₹3,00,000/-.
