PM To Inaugurate Global Maritime India Summit 2023 In Mumbai

The Global Maritime India Summit 2023 (GMIS 2023), the third of its kind, will be held in Mumbai from October 17th to 19th and inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The summit, organized by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, will have participants including high-level dignitaries and ministers from multiple countries alongside Indian state ministers and Lieutenant Governors. Numerous aspects of the maritime sector, including technological advancements, carbon emission reduction, shipbuilding, and maritime tourism, will be discussed. The summit will also launch the 'Amrit Kaal Vision 2047', a roadmap for India's maritime economy. The inaugural of projects worth INR 23,364 crores, investment opportunities, and over 150 exhibitors and conferences is expected during the event.
