Power Minister launches SADUN to modernise power distribution utilities in South Asia
Power Minister RK Singh has launched the South Asia Distribution Utility Network (SADUN). A joint initiative by the Ministry of Power, USAID, and PFC, SADUN is aimed at modernising power distribution utilities in South Asian countries through knowledge sharing. Conceptualised by USAID in January 2020, the network also seeks to enhance the focus on regional power distribution issues by fostering a utility-to-utility connection. Representatives from several South Asian countries attended the launch, welcoming the initiative and discussing subsequent opportunities, challenges, and expectations.
